Kinda ironic that the Google Pixel can’t handle The Pixel.
I feel bad for the photographer. This is a really cool photo.
Everybody be like: "Poor photographer, he just wanted to make a nice photo."
For anyone who doesn’t want to watch the full video, here is a summary.
That was a nice explanation. This shows how even the smallest bug in code can lead to loss of data!
I find it interesting how it only takes one simple line of code to fix the issue. Like, I know the developers didn't think they would have this issue, but it would have saved a lot of issues if they coded it so that if the number is above 255, to just make it 255.
I love how detailed this explanation was. No clickbait to be found here
it really feels like there should be a failsafe where it removes the wallpaper back to default but I guess this problem never even crossed anyone's minds
The original photographer and poster of that wallpaper just wanted to make his work prettier and pleasing to the eyes.
It's crazy how well-intentioned people were letting us know that we can't use this wallpaper, but the human mind put it anyways, trying to profe they were lying and that was a trap, but then their phones die. The Karma
The saying is "Curiousity killed the cat"
Only one correction; you aren’t necessarily going “back to how it looked” in srgb.
Imagine spending hundreds of dollars on a smartphone, only for a pixel to destroy it
It amazes me from a developer standpoint that no one asked
I learned more in this video about RGB colors than in my color classes. Great video! Thank you very much for the explanation :D
Can we give this guy a sub- he just sacrificed a phone for us.
His voice is so soothing + he explains the cursed wallpaper so well
In art school we talked abt (in photoshop class) how important it is to make your colors readable when converting them to/from Rgb, cmyk, etc and how it can crash programs if you’re not careful.
Imagine if someone went to a phone store and put this on all the phones
Dude, imagine being the guy that took this beautiful photo just for your phone to off himself if you try to put it as a background. Feel kinda bad for him. All because of 1 pixel.
